Bay School community arts center

Join Us Today!

Our staff, board of directors, volunteers, members, teaching artists, potters, and students are a creative community centered around sharing artistic experiences with each other, the Mathews community, and our gallery and event guests.

Enjoy being part of a creative community at the Bay School Community Arts Center. All annual family memberships are good for one year from the date of sign-up.

By becoming a member, you help us continue our mission of providing people of all ages the chance to learn, experience, and appreciate the arts. Proceeds from this program allow us to add more classes to our catalog and increase the opportunities for free and low-cost programs for our youth.

The Bay School depends on a dedicated group of volunteers for many aspects of operation. Bay School volunteers organize and host special events, do routine office work, and are on-call for many other special tasks.

Three times a year, we hold volunteer appreciation events that in addition to tasty food potluck style, involve raffle drawings and recognition awards.

We are always looking for teachers who have new and exciting ideas for classes!  If you are interested in teaching adult and/or children's classes, please contact Grace at gracesmall@bayschool-arts.com to discuss your idea.

The Bay School Community Arts Center has a dedicated ceramics studio for students and local potters.  To encourage and support the regular participation of individuals with a passion for all things clay, we offer Pottery Studio Memberships.

Studio members must have experience working in clay. No instruction is provided during open studio hours.
