Join us for a 3-day workshop focused on representational realism. We will move beyond "copying" a scene to capturing its essence, poetry, and atmosphere through fundamental painting techniques and personal interpretation. Antwan will share methods developed over the last decade to help you stay present and eliminate the frustration often associated with painting. The instructor will be working in oils, but all media is welcome. This workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced painters.

Please bring the following to class:

An easel, a palette to mix paint on, an assortment of brushes in a variety of sizes, a palette mixing knife, paintings surface of choice (Antwan uses linen panels), paint colors of your choice with a minimum of a primary palette like blue/red/yellow/white and a warm dark like transparent red oxide/burnt umber, solvent and jars for cleaning brushes, paper towels.
