Instructor, Lynn Mehta

18 yrs & up

Alla prima painting, or all at once, is a direct painting technique where the entire painting is completed in one session. The result is often fresh and expressive. Painting from life, we will focus on still lifes with flowers in the studio. If weather permits, we may complete a painting session outdoors. Throughout this workshop, expect to learn how to set up a still life arrangement with flowers and mix harmonious colors. Emphasis will be placed upon the direction of light, focal points, composition, and edges. Acrylic painters are welcome, but all demos and instruction will be in oils. Open to all skill levels.

Please keep in mind before your purchase materials that the class may not yet be confirmed.
