Have you always wanted to try out painting with oils but felt intimidated because you heard they were messy, hard, or too expensive? This four-day workshop might be the easiest way you can step into a medium new to you. All the materials and supplies will be provided and included in the class fee. All you have to do is show up ready to take notes and experiment. As a beginner, wearing clothing you don’t mind getting paint on is a good idea. This class is limited to six students, so everyone gets personalized instruction and guidance. We cover everything from how to prepare a good painting surface, the history of oils, how they are made, and how to hold your brushes and apply the paint in different ways. You will play with paint each day, but in the end, you will go home with a painting, a small set of brushes, and a palette knife.
